NOTE: This is IDEAL for selling complex, customizable, or expensive offers that require talking with prospects before they buy. Automatic sales work, too, though.
Get ready-to-buy prospects automatically from your email list
Everyone who joins your list will understand the benefits they can get and why they should choose you over your competitors
If you’re like most business owners, you have a long list of marketing ideas that could have a huge impact on your sales. The problem isn’t a lack of ideas.
The problem is how difficult it is to get those ideas implemented. When you get something major ready, it’s because you dedicated ridiculous amounts of time to it. It likely causes issues elsewhere in your business—or at least so much stress that you and your family rather never go through it again.
So, your marketing isn’t getting significantly more effective. You likely compensate by putting more time and money into sales. You might be your own sales department, or you’ve hired sales people. Either way, the strategy is: Chase anyone who might be willing to buy. Bend over backwards to make even a small sale. And do cold calls, even though you’d happily shoot your foot and jump into a bullet ant nest while re-doing all your taxes from the last 25 years if that got you off the cold calling duty for a month.
Imagine yourself in 10 years. And imagine you reached success by then (define success however you see it). Would that future you tell your current self to, “Keep doing what you’re doing. Just do more of it. Work harder. Put in more time and money.”?
Or would your successful future self tell you to, “Focus on finishing a few things that make a difference. Don’t stretch yourself so thin that nothing gets done. You know you’re doing it just because it feels safer to try everything and hope something works than to focus on one thing. But you need to get stuff ready. And not just the small stuff like a new ad campaign or product version. You need to get the things that generate results in the long-term in place. If you don’t, you keep working just to keep up with stuff. And all the negative stuff happening because of it…you know what I mean…will get worse. Much worse. And all the stuff you’re afraid of happening…will happen. You know it. Admitting it feels like a kick in the gut. But do you rather get through that or face the consequences of avoiding it? So, be smart about what you do, so you get things done.”
If I could tell that to my 10-years-younger self, things would’ve worked out a lot easier.
Getting marketing set up, so it generates results consistently, is one of those major things everyone’s working on. But few people get there. And it’s because they’re trying to do too many things—and too complicated things.
Ready-to-buy prospects—automatically… the easy way
What would happen if everyone who joined your email list understood the benefits they could get from you? And if they also understood what makes your offer different compared to all your competitors’ offers?
You’d talk to prospects when they already basically want to buy. How much easier would it be to close those sales? How would you or your sales people feel about that?
Or if you have a sales page, how much more sales would it generate if people already wanted to buy by the time they saw it?
A simple autoresponder sales funnel can make all that happen. It’s a automated sequence of emails everyone gets when they join your email list. No need for the super-advanced and complex stuff sales funnel experts are all giddy about—the stuff that makes everyone else lose hope of ever getting a sales funnel ready.
The key is to find the right questions
The autoresponder sales funnel is based on answering questions. The right questions.
If you already have an autoresponder sequence in place, you likely already answer questions with it. But do people buy or ask to talk with you about buying thanks to those emails? If not, you aren’t answering the right questions.
The right questions tick off a few things:
- They interest your target customers, so they want to read the answers and are thankful for getting your emails.
- They showcase the benefits people can get if they your offer—without sounding sales-y or pushy.
- They make people understand what differentiates you from your competitors, so they want to buy your offer.
When you have the right questions, the rest is relatively easy. The answers you’d naturally give are both helpful and effective.
And most importantly, the emails work without any advanced tricks. You don’t need to learn a ton of new things to get results.
Just like all marketing, 90% of its effectiveness comes from what you communicate with it. The right questions set you up to automatically say the right kinds of things. You can get people to see the things you want (the benefits they can get and what differentiates you) just as well with simple emails as with long videos, webinars, etc. That is, if you know what to focus on.
What’s different about this autoresponder sales funnel compared to normal sales funnels?
The usual sales funnels you likely hear about are incredibly complex. And often that’s by design. It’s an arms race between sales funnel experts. Who can create the most advanced funnel that uses the most complex tools to maximize potential? Whoever has the most complicated funnel is the current holder of the “most advanced funnel” award.
But it makes it nearly impossible for normal business owners to build those funnels. Sure, the salespeople call their own funnels “easy and fast to build.” If 200+ hours is “easy and fast,” then sure. Whenever I talk with them about their own funnels, they say that they spent 4-6 months building it with the help of two or three other companies. “Easy and fast”…indeed.
To be fair, there are simpler funnels, too. But that still usually means 100+ hours of work if you don’t already know how to do everything. That’s what makes most funnels unrealistic for most people.
Even if you have the time, do you know how to do all the things you need for those funnels? Are you comfortable making several videos? Can you do a great sales webinar? Do you know how to segment people based on what actions they take (e.g., what emails they open, how much of a video they view, or how far into a page they scroll)?
And if you sell complex, customizable, or expensive products or services, you need to modify those funnels. They’re meant for selling online products, simple commodities, or some other simple stuff without any interaction with you or your sales people.
The autoresponder sales funnel I’m talking about here is quite different.
- It’s ideal for selling complex, customized, expensive products and services that require talking with prospects. You can modify most funnels to work like this, too. But it takes expertise, and since they’re not meant for selling complex offers, it’s never an ideal option. The autoresponder funnel works with automated sales, too. But it is ideal when you need to talk with prospects before they can buy.
- It doesn’t need to be ready to generate results—you can build it one small piece at a time. Almost all funnels need to be 100% ready before they can generate sales. You can’t really even publish any parts of them before they’re completely finished—every piece connects to every other piece, so if you get one ready, it’s worth nothing until you have every other piece ready, too. The autoresponder funnel is different; as soon as you have one email ready, you can start to see some results. Sure, one email won’t revolutionize your business (unless you’re an amazing copywriter). But it’s far easier to get the funnel ready because you can do it one piece at a time.
- It doesn’t need any technology you don’t already have. Of course, you need an email marketing software, but I’m guessing you have one. Even the simplest options have the autoresponder functionality you need.
- It’s easy to modify and improve. Most sales funnel experts re-build their entire funnel when they want to improve it. It might take 200+ hours. But that’s still easier than to trying to improve the existing funnel. The problem is that there are so many moving pieces that finding the issues is extremely difficult—even for experts. And even if they find the weak link, changing it would require changing most other pieces at the same time. The autoresponder funnel is easy to improve because you can change each email separately without changing the other emails. If one email doesn’t perform as well as the others, just change it or write a new one. It’s that simple.
- It ties in with your blog—IF you have one. You don’t need a blog. You certainly don’t need a blog to use the autoresponder funnel. But if you have a blog, it works together with the autoresponder funnel to generate sales.
Autoresponder Sales Funnel coaching program
During this coaching program, you get the entire autoresponder sales funnel ready. It’s not just the emails. It’s also the free offer that gets people to your email list and the paid offer that converts them to customers. And you don’t need to deal with the most complex parts—I do all those for you.
Part 1: Find the questions that make people see why they should buy your offer
The entire autoresponder sales funnel is based on answering questions your target customers have. That’s how you write emails they want to read while showcasing the benefits they can get and the differences that set you apart from the competition.
So, first we need to know the questions that fit our needs. You’ll first go through a workbook with just a couple of questions. If you have any questions about it, just send me an email, and I’ll help.
Next, you send me the workbook. I’ll go through it, and I might ask follow-up questions. But that’s all you need to do about the most important and most complex part of the entire autoresponder sales funnel.
I expect most people to need less than two hours to do this.
At the end of this part, you have a long list of questions you can build effective marketing around. You can write blog posts, social media updates, or advertisements based on them. There’s also a good chance you’ll come up with new products or services you could offer based on the questions.
Part 2: Create an easy-to-say-“yes”-to offer (if you don’t have one)
The autoresponder sales funnel isn’t just the emails. It also includes the free offer you make to attract more people to your list every day. And it includes the offer you make at the end, so you also make sales consistently.
Everyone knows how important it is to have a strong offer (both in the beginning to get people to your list and at the end to make them say, “Yes, I want to buy that.”). Still, most people can’t honestly say they’d have strong offers. They have offers—potentially many of them. But their results make it clear that the offers aren’t as strong as they could be.
They might show the free offer on their website in many places on each page. Yet, only a tiny minority of visitors join their list. And they might tell people about their paid offer to countless people. Yet, very few end up buying.
If that’s the case, something’s wrong with the offers. And without strong offers, marketing is inefficient. No matter how much time and money you put into it, making a profit will be tough.
So, before you start writing the emails—or even learn how to write them—we make sure your free and paid offers are strong. It’s enough to increase most people’s sales significantly.
We’ll start with the “paid” offer, although, it’s often a free consultation or meeting that leads to a sale.
If you already have an easy-to-say-“yes”-to offer, then all you need to do is tell me what it is. I might have suggestions on how to improve it. But if something has worked for you, let’s not try to re-invent the wheel.
If you aren’t sure your offer is as good as it could be, then still just tell me what it is. If I agree that it needs improving, I suggest an offer you could use.
This part will take 15-30 minutes for most people. That said, if you’ve never created a successful offer, it will take more time (likely around 60 minutes). I do most of the thinking, so you just need to answer some clarifying questions for me.
At the end of this part, you have a strong offer. Your target customers can easily say, “yes” to it. It’s what the autoresponder sales funnel is built for. And it’s something you can almost certainly use in your other marketing, too.
Note that this isn’t a program on product-market fit or creating offers specifically. For example, I won’t try your services, interview your customers, or do competitor analysis. Similarly, I won’t read very long sales pages or watch long videos about your offer. A short sales page or video, on the other hand, can be a great way for me to quickly understand your offer better.
If you need to write a sales page or a page where people apply for a consultation (or similar offer), I’ll give you easy-to-use templates for the content. And as always, when you have questions, I’ll answer them for you.
Part 3: Create a desirable free offer that attracts your target customers to your list (if you don’t have one, yet)
If you already get lots of people to your email list, just tell me how and why they join. I might have suggestions on how you could attract more people—or how the free offer could help generate more sales. But again, no need to re-invent the wheel.
If you don’t get a lot of people to your list—especially if the number is very low compared to how many people visit your website—we can come up with a new free offer. I’ll suggest the topic and format for the free offer. You don’t need to think about it much. At most, you need to answer some follow-up questions from me. And just so you know, I favor very simple free offers (for example, a short PDF). You don’t need to worry about it being difficult to build; my most successful free offer is a 2-page PDF (15,000+ people have joined my list to get it).
This won’t take more than 5 minutes if you already get people to your list. And if you need to create a new free offer, it shouldn’t take more than a couple of hours.
At the end of this part, you know that your free offer is strong and helps you generate sales. Even if we look at bigger companies’ websites, less than 10% of them have a good free offer. So, you can gain a big lead on your competitors with just this in most industries.
You’ll also get a landing page template with instructions on the content you can use for the free offer. And again, when you have any questions, I’ll answer them directly, so you don’t get stuck with anything.
Part 4: Structure an interesting and effective autoresponder
I do this for you. You might need to answer some specific questions, but in most cases even that won’t be necessary.
You just get the ready structure for your autoresponder sequence. In other words, you know what questions each email answers, what the answers are, and in what order the emails are in. All in all, the sequence will have about 10-12 emails.
I also mark down the best order to write them in. For example, you’ll see which three emails you should start with, so you get the most results with just three emails. And you see what would be the fourth email to add to the sequence, so you get the most out of having just four emails. And so on… This way you get the most out of the autoresponder sales funnel throughout building it. Of course, you get the most results when you have all the emails in place. But why not make some sales before you get that far?
Odds are you won’t spend any time on this part. At most you answer some follow-up questions for me.
Part 5: Write helpful emails that showcase the value of your offer
This is much simpler than it might sound. You know what specific question you need to answer in each email. You also know what kind of an answer you need to give. Those are clearly marked down in the structure (from part 4).
But you also get detailed instructions how each email should be written. You know what to start with. What comes next. And so on—all the way to the signature.
When you have a question, I’m there to help. This is coaching—not an info product where you’re left alone with a collection of videos and a cheery, “good luck” from the salesman.
That said, this part has detailed video trainings with examples on the different styles of emails you’ll write. There are downloadable templates, too, so you hit the ground running. The templates aren’t quite “fill-in-the-blank” style templates. But they take away a lot of the time-consuming decisions. And no, there’s nothing that could make people wonder if you used templates for your emails. Those kinds of templates are for beginners.
When you have an email ready, send it to me. I might suggest edits that could make it more effective. Or if everything looks good, I’ll tell you that, so you don’t need to wonder if you should still rewrite something.
If you’re used to writing marketing emails, I doubt it would take you more than 30 minutes to finish one. You might get them done even faster than that (remember, there are very few decisions left—all you need to do is write the content, which is already planned). But if you’ve never written any marketing content, the first few emails may take more time—likely closer to 45-60 minutes each. I assume you’ll get down to 30min/email by the time you’ve written a few of them.
Part 6: Setup the autoresponder, so it fits your offer, audience, and email marketing software
When you have even just the very first email ready, we can start to setup your autoresponder sales funnel. We’ll have to plan the days of week and times of day to use for each email.
You don’t need to worry about it. Just tell me what email marketing system you use (and what limitations it has), and I’ll plan it all for you. I’ll even tell you what design to use for the emails.
Most email marketing systems make it very easy to setup autoresponder sequences. But if you use a software that doesn’t have clear instructions for it, I can help with asking the right questions from their customer support.
If you’ve setup autoresponder sequences before, you can setup an email in less than five minutes. But if you’re new to it, the first couple of emails might take 10-15 minutes each.
As soon as you have your first email setup, your autoresponder sales funnel is functional. Sure, just one email likely won’t generate tons of sales (although, exceptions exist—it depends on what free offer you use). But at least you have something in place that you can easily add more emails to, as soon as you get them ready.
Three emails is the threshold where most people start to see clearer results. Although, some offers work more easily with just a few emails than others.
Part 7: Track the right things to improve your results
One of the nicest aspects of this autoresponder sales funnel is that it’s very consistent. You don’t need to be a great writer to make it work. The funnel forgives a lot.
But there’s always room for improvement. And in this part you learn the simple ways you can improve your autoresponder sales funnel further.
There’s truly nothing difficult about this. Or to be clear, there’s nothing difficult about this when you know what to look for. And that’s what we go through in this part. You see exactly what numbers to look at. You learn what they all mean. You learn what each number should be. You see what you should change if one number is too low or high. And so on.
You get a simple cheat sheet that lists all the numbers you should track. It’s even prioritized, so you can only check the most important numbers when you’re too busy to dig deeper. It also shows the thresholds for what are acceptable numbers—and what you should do if a number isn’t up to par.
There are even examples of how you can test different emails (even if your email marketing software doesn’t have any built-in testing options).
BONUS — Part 8: Use the best tricks from advanced funnels to improve your results
This is completely optional. If you feel blood rush out of your head the moment you think of using advanced marketing tools, you don’t need to even look at this part.
But if you want to squeeze more out of your autoresponder sales funnel, here are some of the best advanced methods you can use. Some of these are things many marketers use without thinking about it much. Others are hyper-specific to certain situations (e.g., offering free consultations only to people who are likely interested in more expensive services—not just the cheapest offers you have). And a couple are extreme examples that showcase some of the most advanced (but also most effective) segmentation you can use.
Each advanced technique comes with examples of simple versions of the same technique. So, you can use advanced techniques without spending an absurd amount of time on it.
By the end of this part, you know what you can do to improve your autoresponder sales funnel further.
BONUS — Part 9: Do effective email marketing after the autoresponder ends—easily
One of the best parts about email marketing is that it creates consistent results over time. But it only does that if you send emails regularly.
Coming up with content to share takes so much time for most people that they give up. They might send an email every week or two. Even that can feel like a lot of effort.
The hard part isn’t even coming up with something to say in an email. The hard part is making it effective.
Most email marketing is hopelessly ineffective. And most of the people who get some results with it spend so much time on it that it’s inefficient.
So, in this part, we go through what kind of content you can share to get consistent results efficiently. We’ll create the email content templates you can easily use every time you want to send an email. Of course, you need to create new content for each email. But with the templates, that’s easy.
NOTE: The templates we create for you won’t make any of your emails sound generic or too similar. Instead, the templates make sure you have an easy time writing interesting content that’s also effective.
How much will you get done in 8-10 hours?
Of course, this will vary from person to person. But here are some estimates:
- If you have your free and paid offers ready, and you’re used to writing marketing content, you can have the entire autoresponder sales funnel ready in 8-10 hours. That includes writing all the emails, answering all my questions, and setting all the emails ready in your email marketing software.
- If your offers need some polishing, and you need to get used to writing marketing content, it might take 8-10 hours for you to get the autoresponder sales funnel up with the first three emails (instead of having all the emails ready). That’s enough for you to see some results. You can add more emails to the sequence later (likely around 45 minutes each including writing and adding them into your email marketing software).
What if you have no offers, landing pages, or experience writing marketing content? Can you still join this program?
Yes. But it will likely take more than 10 hours for you to get your first emails up. For example, if you need to build a new free offer, that might take 30 minutes—or three hours. Or if you’ve never built a landing page for a free offer, you might need another 30 minutes—or three hours. Your past experience makes a huge difference, so the more there is for you to do, the harder it is to estimate how long it will all take.
But remember, these are things you need to get done anyway. Doing them during this coaching program is much faster and easier than doing them alone. And even if you’re an expert at crafting offers, you still likely get better results with some help. Half of my clients are marketing experts (they sell marketing services or products). They get just as much out of the help as anyone else.
First week will convince you the program is worth more than its price—or you pay nothing
If by the end of the first week you aren’t convinced this program is worth much more than its price for you, something is wrong. By that point, we’ll have gone through the first part of the program—maybe second, third, and fourth, too—so the value should be abundantly clear. If you don’t think by that point that you’ll make your investment back ten-fold, something really is wrong, and the program isn’t a good fit for you. Just let me know, and I’ll refund your payment.
Get eager-to-buy prospects automatically from your email list
Everyone who joins your list will understand the benefits they could get and what makes your offer better than your competitors’ offers. And it all happens automatically with your autoresponder sales funnel.
It’s far easier and faster to build than a normal sales funnel. It works especially well for selling complex offers that require talking with prospects before they buy. And you don’t even need to finish it to start seeing results.
The coaching program is only 2 monthly payments of $367 OR 3 monthly payments of $267 (or you can pay in full and save a little more). And you get access to unlimited (within reason) coaching for six months, so even if a lot of unexpected things happen, you have plenty of time to get things ready.
NOTE: The program will be available at this price for only the first 25 people or until end of January. After that, you can’t join the program for some time—and when it’s available again, the price will be higher. I’m giving it with a large discount for the first group to get feedback on it.
Common questions
Does this work with what I sell?
If you already get some people to your email list, that’s enough to just about guarantee this can work for you. But even if you’ve never used an email marketing software, odds are this can work for you.
This autoresponder sales funnel is ideal for selling complex, customizable, and expensive offers. But there’s no reason why you couldn’t use it to sell simple automated online products or anything else. The details change based on what you sell, but you don’t need to worry about that—I’ll walk you through what you need to do.
Rather than trying to list all the rare exceptions (e.g., your target customers don’t use email), just let me know what you sell and to whom, and I’ll tell you if this is a fit or not. In case you’re wondering, there’s always someone I discourage from joining a program because it’s not truly a good fit for them. They wouldn’t get good results even after I spent a crazy amount of time helping them. And even more often, I tell people that they can join, but they should be aware of how some circumstances might complicate things for them. That way they can make an informed decision—not jump into something they won’t get much out of.
So, if you aren’t sure, let me know, and we’ll figure it out together.
I’ve tried building sales funnels before, but didn’t get results. What makes this different?
Scroll up a bit. There’s an entire section on the differences between normal sales funnels and this.
That said, if a real expert has told you that your sales funnels are good (i.e., they’ve checked all the pieces of the funnel), but you haven’t made sales, something’s wrong. Feel free to send me an email about it, and I’ll try to see what’s the problem.
But if you just need a reminder of what’s different about this autoresponder sales funnel compared to normal sales funnels, here you go:
- It doesn’t take much time to finish. We’re talking about 8-10 hours for most people to start seeing results. Most normal funnels take 100+ hours to build.
- It doesn’t need to be ready to generate results. As soon as you have one email ready, you can start to see some results.
- It’s ideal for selling complex, customized, expensive products and services that require talking with prospects. Most funnels are meant for selling simple commodities or online products.
- It doesn’t need any technology you don’t already have. If you have an email marketing software, you’re set. Even the simplest ones have the autoresponder functionality you need for this sales funnel.
- It’s easy to modify and improve. You can change each email individually. You don’t need to re-record all videos or rewrite a sales page if you want to change something.
I’ve had an autoresponder sequence before, but it didn’t generate results. What makes this different?
Was it built around questions that have answers that naturally showcase the benefits people can get from you and what differentiates your offer from your competitors? Did you have an easy-to-say-“yes”-to offer all the emails prepared the people for? If either of those is a “no,” that’s the likely reason it didn’t work. Otherwise, tell me more. There are lots of things that can break an autoresponder, so it’s easier if we just talk about via email.
What makes this a “coaching program,” instead of an information product?
There are some similarities. You pay online. And you get workbooks and templates.
But you don’t need to worry about the bigger or more complicated planning. I do it all for you.
And whenever you have a question, send me an email, and I answer it for you. You don’t hear from some assistant or get a template answer. This isn’t a product with some support. This is coaching. Just because we don’t have calls or meetings doesn’t change the fact that you have a coach who’s there to help you grow your business. And the more accurate and practical the answers, the easier it is for you to see results. I don’t think anyone has ever complained about getting too short answers from me. Rather, I also explain why I suggest something—not just what you should do and how.
Does this work with my email marketing software?
Yes. At least I’ve never heard of an email marketing software that wouldn’t have the basic autoresponder functionality you need.
I’ll take your software’s limits into account when I structure your autoresponder. And even if you use a fancy software (like Infusionsoft, which is what I use), you don’t need to go crazy with the options. We’ll build something that fits your needs—not something that gives us bragging rights because it’s impossibly complex.

Peter has the knack of making complicated ideas seem simple. The best way to describe working with Peter is to say he can ‘see around corners.’ He doesn’t just look at the obvious–he has a way of taking his huge knowledge about marketing and applying it to every aspect of your business.
He delivers over-the-top value, and what’s more, you can tell he really cares.

Get ready-to-buy prospects automatically from your email list
